Showcasing Eco-Friendly Innovation at the Re: Sustainable Design Exhibition

The Re: Sustainable Design Exhibition successfully kicked off with an inspiring opening ceremony at LG2 Blue Concourse, Sunway Pyramid, running from June 19th to June 23rd, 2024. This event highlighted the innovative intersection of art and sustainability, drawing attention to eco-friendly design solutions that resonate with the community.

Our Mission and Vision

At DSGN, our mission is to infuse every project with sustainability and artistry, empowering individuals and communities alike. We are dedicated to reimagining living spaces that inspire and resonate, crafting environments that reflect the essence of sustainable living and groundbreaking innovation.

Opening Ceremony Highlights

The exhibition commenced with opening remarks from esteemed representatives, setting the tone for the celebration of sustainable design:

Achieving Sustainable Development Goals

The Re: Sustainable Design Exhibition significantly contributed to the achievement of 10 out of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations. Our collaborative efforts with various organizations have reflected our commitment to sustainable practices:

    Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation.

    Emphasizing the importance of collaborative action in achieving the SDGs through partnerships with Malaysia, Taiwan, and the UK.

Exhibition Highlights

Attendees explored how sustainable practices can be integrated into everyday living, with a special focus on the role of design in addressing global challenges. The event also showcased the creative talents of our dedicated DSGN team, whose passion for sustainable design contributed to the exhibition’s success.

The 4 Phases of Re:

Our exhibition emphasized the 4 phases of Re, guiding our approach to sustainability:

  1. Re: flect
    Encouraging reflection on daily waste, including packaging and food waste, while promoting the principles of reducing, reusing, recycling, and choosing sustainable alternatives.
  2. Re: think
    Prompting a reconsideration of waste management approaches and their societal impacts.
  3. Re: life
    Demonstrating how waste materials can be repurposed or given new life through recycling, upcycling, composting, or converting them into energy sources.
  4. Re: flex
    Developing a reflex to reflect on our actions, embracing sustainable practices and proper waste management to ensure a healthier planet for current and future generations.
